Growing
in Favor with God and Man
Our theme verse is 1 Samuel 2:26
God has truly
poured out His grace to all those who call upon Jesus as their
Lord, and how wonderful it is when a person first learns of the
divine favor he has received. The more we understand and appropriate
that grace, the more effectively we minister grace to others,
and thus find favor with God and man.
At this years
mens gathering we will explore together what it means as
men to walk with grace toward others. We anticipate a powerful,
enriching, and Christ-centered time in a beautiful outdoor setting
as we fellowship together and celebrate manhood, especially being
a man full of grace. If you have attended one of our mens
weekends, you know what how spiritually rejuvenating it can be.
If you have not been to one, come and join us this year. We would
love to have you!

As
Christians, we may sometimes feel like we want more from our relationship
with God. We can feel like we are stuck and cannot hear His voice.
How often do we spend even 20 minutes a day meditating on God or
Scripture? And yet God created us to have an intimate relationship
with Him. At the Silent Retreat you have time to reflect on your
relationship with your heavenly Father.
When
you leave your busy world and go to a Silent Retreat, you are
giving yourself permission to take time to listen for His voice.
Most of the Silent Retreat weekend is you being quiet and spending
time with God and the Lord Jesus in meditative prayer, reading,
journaling, or maybe even sleeping. God does sometimes minister
to us while we are sleeping. Most likely you will learn something
about yourself that you were not aware of. As you discipline yourself
to pray, and listen, you will learn to discern the voice of God.

It would take volumes to describe our Lord Jesus Christ and the
magnificence with which he lived his life. But of all his amazing
traits and sterling characteristics, the greatest of these
is love. Just like his heavenly Father, Jesus loved purely,
relentlessly, and unconditionally from the heart. As our example,
he promised that each of us can love like he does.
As we persevere in our quest of becoming like Christ, let us endeavor
to follow his perfect example of loving his Father and his fellow
man. This years Fall Fellowship will give us an opportunity
to come together and love one another.
Please join us for this weekend in the mountains as together we
will pray, worship, fellowship, grow, and learn how to become
more like Christ by being rooted and established in love.
If you have a child who will be attending the children's fellowship,
you may be asked to take a turn serving as a children's fellowship
mentor.
There will be a continental breakfast included for all registered
guests at the hotel and our Saturday evening banquet is included
with your registration.
